• Account data: email address, password hash, and session information.
• Project data: uploaded videos, browser-created screen recordings, microphone or shared-screen audio when enabled, subtitle edits, styling settings, generated previews/exports, and related metadata.
• Billing data: plan status, subscription IDs, transaction references, customer portal links, and limited payment-provider metadata. We do not store full card numbers.
• Operational data: job status, processing logs, and error diagnostics.

2. How We Use Information

• To authenticate users and secure accounts.
• To process uploads, transcribe audio, render previews, and generate exports.
• To manage plan access, subscriptions, refund reviews, and payment support.
• To understand feature usage, measure key conversion steps, and improve the Service.
• To troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

3. Legal Basis

We process information as necessary to provide the Service requested by users, maintain platform security, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Retention

• Project files and job data are retained according to product retention settings and user actions (including pinned/locked behavior where enabled).
• Some logs may be retained for security and support diagnostics.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

• We do not sell personal data.
• Payment processors and Merchant of Record providers may receive account, checkout, subscription, tax, and refund details needed to process payments and support billing.
• We may use service providers, including analytics providers such as PostHog, to process limited technical and usage data on our behalf for analytics, product improvement, troubleshooting, and service administration.
• Data may be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or to protect security and rights.

6. Security

We apply technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect stored data. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed 100% secure.

7. Your Responsibilities

• Do not upload sensitive or regulated data unless you are authorized and compliant with applicable laws.
• Only record screens, conversations, meetings, people, or third-party content when you have the required rights and consent.
• For uploaded fonts, you are responsible for legal usage rights.

8. Cookies and Sessions

The Service uses essential cookies/sessions for authentication, security, and app state. Disabling them can prevent core functionality.

We may also use first-party analytics cookies, browser local storage, and a third-party analytics provider, currently PostHog, to measure page views and product interactions such as signup, login, upload, editing, and export actions. For anonymous visitors, optional browser analytics start only after analytics consent is accepted.

For visitors who are not signed in, analytics may assign an anonymous browser identifier. If a visitor later signs up or logs in, we may associate that visitor trail with the account to understand signup source, activation, abuse signals, and product usage. We use this information for product analytics, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, support, and service improvement.
